Via NFL.com:

The Redskins resurrected Adrian Peterson‘s career, then handed him a big new contract. And now, in his first game in 2019, he won’t be on the field.

Sources say that Peterson is expected to be a surprise inactive as the Redskins play the Eagles today. After gaining 1,042 yards last year, averaging 4.2 yards per rush in a comeback season, Peterson is slated to be watching from the sidelines.

Something tells me this is going to turn out to be an ugly situation.  Peterson doesn’t have much time left in the NFL, he isn’t going to want to spend it on the sidelines watching games.
