Cubs shortstop ​Addison Russell’s ex-wife, Melisa Reidy, came out this week with more domestic violence accusations against him. He was quickly placed on administrative leave by the MLB.
Russell issued a statement of his own denying the allegations through the players’ union. His sister took to her Instagram story to bash his ex.
The brutal post probably isn’t the kind of thing Russell wants put out there in the middle of an investigation. It’s definitely not something anyone should want posted to an accuser of domestic violence.
Let the investigation play out. Nothing is accomplished with these kinds of comments during an investigation.
