Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn’t practice on Thursday with the rest of his team.  He instead spent time with the trainer after suffering what he called a setback during Sunday’s loss to the Lions.

The setback might have him going back to the larger brace he wore in the three weeks prior to the Lions game.

Via ESPN:

“Yeah, kind of a setback last week, the beginning of the week,” Rodgers said. “Got to be in the rehab group again today, got a lot of good work in with [assistant trainer] Nate [Weir] and just hoping I get back out there tomorrow and have a feel-good Friday and a practice [Sunday] and be good to go — hopefully back to where I was in Detroit.”

It would be a real shame if Rodgers ended up injuring his knee even worse than it was originally.  We would hate to see that.

We would also hate to see the NFL make new rules for him if he does go down for an extended period of time for playing on the knee.
