During the Yankees 9-2 win over the Rays in Tampa Bay, star outfielder Aaron Judge was tagged in the junk. The cup check came on a play at first base as he beat out an infield single.

There have been plenty of groin injuries as hitters attempt to beat throws to first base, usually not because of an unfortunately placed tag.
Judge didn’t appear to have been hurt on the play, although he very easily could have been.
The Yankees need ever win they can get before the season ends to host the one game playoff in the Bronx. So expect to see the regulars on the field until they secure home field advantage.
