Aaron Donald was flagged for roughing the passer late in Sunday night’s game against the Browns. The Rams star defensive lineman later admitted the hit on Baker Mayfield was a little high.
“Just tried to make a play and I guess I got a little high [on the hit on Mayfield],” he said. “That’s my mistake.”
The mistake of admitting the hit was too high was met with a fine of over $21k. The lesson here is deny, deny, deny. Never admit that you committed a penalty no matter what.
