Looks as if former Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez always had a thing for J-Lo. MLB Network’s “International Talk” aired forgotten footage Tuesday night from 1998 when the shortstop was only 23.
Rodriguez was pretty specific when asked about a date.
Reporter: “What would a dream date with Alex Rodriguez be?”
Rodriguez: “Jennifer Lopez. Hopefully you can find me a date with her.”

Rodriguez shared the video on his Instagram account overnight with “I just had a feeling” and a laughing-crying emoji.
Lopez replied not an hour later: “OMG … i love this too much” with three hearts.
It’s a tad bit creepy but it all worked out.
A-Rod must have been patiently waiting in the wings for a good 20 years.
Well worth the wait.
