With Spring Training just weeks away, the biggest free agents on the market, Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, remain unsigned. Over the weekend a picture of a couple of Bryce Harper Phillies bats hit the internet.

This sparked rumors that the Phillies had the bats made because Harper had signed with Philadelphia. According to sources at the makers of the bats, that isn’t the case. The bats were not ordered by the Phillies or Harper. They made the bats just in case he signs with them.
So, from sources at Victus, the bats were made a week and a half ago and were not made as a special order.
Were made just in case it happens.

The latest on the top free agents is that the White Sox remain the favorites to land Machado and the Phillies are still the favorites to land Harper.
Three weeks remain until position players report to spring training and little has changed the last month. The #Phillies still are the heavy favorites for Harper and the #Whitesox for Machado while everyone awaits to see who blinks first on the final pricetag.
