A bald eagle brought in for a National Anthem ceremony prior to Minnesota Twins home opener decided to land on a Seattle Mariners pitcher instead of flying to its handler.
Mariners left hander James Paxton, who was standing alone in left field, caught the bird’s eye. He tried hard to avoid having the eagle land on him.
Perhaps the bird knew that Paxton was an imposter from Canada. He would pitch well, but the Mariners lost the game.
