The overwhelming majority of NFL players believe Colin Kaepernick deserves to play in the league according to a newly published survey in The Athletic.
The poll surveyed 85 defensive players, 81 of whom were in favor of Kaep playing in the league again while two others voted no and another two players replied with “no comment.”

Players even made specific suggestions as to whose spot Kaepernick could take like Jacksonville’s QB Blake Bortles.
An anonymous player was quoted as saying, “S—, any team that carries three quarterbacks for sure, the third guy on that roster. And a majority of the teams with two quarterbacks, he should be the backup,” adding, “And some places he should be the starter.”
The Nevada product threw 16 touchdowns and four interceptions in his final year as a starter.
San Francisco went 1–11 with Kaepernick in 2016.
