Via The Mercury News:
The family’s patriarch, Army Sergeant Martin “Mick” LaMar, was shot and killed on January 15, 2011. LaMar, who served with the Marines and Army, and who was a veteran of the Gulf War, died on his wedding anniversary. It also was the day he was scheduled to deploy home from Iraq.
He was survived by his wife Josephine and five children — one, a daughter, that he never met.
Excited to provide 2 tix to the #SuperBowl to the surviving family of @USArmy SGT Martin "Mick" LaMar of Sacramento (KIA 01/15/2011). Humbled to work with @USAA & @TAPSOrg to honor his legacy. We will never forget. #SaluteToService 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/OFeE4cQV2t
