The 49ers were reportedly Tom Brady’s first choice this offseason. They decided to stick with their current starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
Jimmy G wasn’t the only quarterback they stuck with. According to The Athletic’s Michael Lombardi, the 49ers received “a bunch of phone calls” regarding possible trades for backup quarterback Nick Mullens.
They weren’t willing to part ways with Mullens just yet.
