A 49ers cheerleader took a knee during the National Anthem before Thursday Night Football.  She has yet to be identified, but she’s believed to be the first NFL cheerleader to protest during the anthem.

The 49ers are, of course, the team Colin Kaepernick was playing for when he began his protests during the National Anthem.  

We’ll have to wait to find out why she decided to protest, but we’re going to guess that it had something to do with her team starting a practice squad quarterback while Kaepernick remains unsigned.

Nick Mullens went onto have a great debut, but that’s besides the point.
