43-Year-Old Retired QB Matt Hasselbeck Says NFL Playoff-Contending Team Called Him About Playing

43-year-old retired quarterback Matt Hasselbeck last played in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts back in 2015.  He served as Andrew Luck’s backup.

Now an ESPN Analyst, Hasselbeck claims via The Ringer that he received a call this season from an NFL playoff-contending team about playing.

Rumors are that it was the Washington Redskins who reached out to Hasselbeck.  They were a playoff-contending team at the time of Alex Smith’s season ending injury.  

Reaching out to a 43-year-old retired player definitely fits the pattern of bizarre and erratic behavior often displayed by the Redskins organization.
