17-year-old Vito Mielnicki made his professional boxing debut on Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark. The high school senior ended his fight in impressive fashion by knocking out his 24-year-old opponent, Tamarcus Smith.
Mielnicki’s going to be the talk of West Essex High School in northern New Jersey when he starts his senior year.
This kid is obviously a special talent. His opponent wasn’t exactly a contender, but if the 17-year-old keeps putting his opponents to sleep then he might just start getting a shot at a few contenders.
