Of course, marijuana was popular amongst athletes in the ‘60s and ‘70s, but there are many modern competitors that partake as well. Michael Phelps

Rasheed Wallace

Record holder Rasheed Wallace is known for having 41 technical fouls in a single season and 317 career technical fouls. In 2002, ‘Sheed was arrested with fellow teammate and stoner Damon “Mighty Mouse” Stoudamire. Following their arrest, the Portland squad gained the nickname “Jail Blazer”.
Chris Webber

Rohan Marley

He was the linebacker for the Miami Hurricanes from 1991 through 1995. During the 1993 season, he lead the team with a whopping 95 tackles.
Dock Ellis

Accomplishments: 1971 All-Star team, 1971 World Series champion, 1976 A.L. Comeback Player of the Year, No-Hitter thrown on June 12, 1970
Famous for throwing a no-hitter while high on LSD, Dock Ellis’ baseball career was extremely successful despite his drug problems. Eventually, they did become a problem but Ellis got clean and ended up becoming an addiction counselor for other players.
Ricky Williams
